Tech doesn’t need this. It doesn’t need any more publicity based on threats, campus safety, guns, etc. What is not stressed is how safe we feel here. How much more there is to Tech than all of this. How campus safety is RARELY an issue, if an issue at all.
…here at Tech, in good old Blacksburg, I don’t feel nervous at all. There is so much more to Virginia Tech than what the news has described, and I hope both parents and prospective, future Hokies take time to notice how rewarding the spirit and heart of Virginia Tech truly is. I Love this school, and nothing will change how incredibly proud I am to be a Hokie.
‘This campus is the safest place I have ever lived in during my entire life.’
Preach. Thank you Hokies, for being my family. I feel safer there than I do in my own home where I was raised. I hope people outside the VT community can feel that power and understand how we feel.
Let me know when your campus feels safe enough that you can just leave all your belongings UNATTENDED in the middle of a dining hall, library, or study lounge and not worry about it getting stolen.
Seriously, if I could I would have like 40 laptops and 10 North Face jackets.
Though I will I say you should probably lock up your bike.
"Lindberg explained to local media that his crew discovered, on the 300-foot-deep ocean floor between Finland and Sweden, "a large circle, about 60 feet in diameter. You see a lot of weird stuff in this job, but during my 18 years as a professional I have never seen anything like this. The shape is completely round."
